England
03/14/10 at 17:24:21

So we have been here in England for 10 days now. All is well so far. We have already found a house, bought Lisa a car, and we are currently waiting on my Jeep to arrive. They told me it would arrive no later than 9 April. I have not had a chance to get with the local Jeep club yet but they have a meet in greet once a month at a pub about 90 miles from where I will be living so that will make things interesting. The only thing I am waiting on is to find out what my job will be.

I think your new job will include being the "The Big Red Douche"! Have a pint for us and look up a guy name Paul Knott. He is Royal AF. Awesome guy and he will definitely be able to show you a good time. Last I heard he was at JARIC. Not to many places for them to go so he is bound to be where you are. Tell Lisa we said hello and punch yourself in the nuts for me.

Well with all the special pay they give you one would have to spend a hell of alot of money to spend it all. If you pay attention to what you are doin you can pocket quite a bit. It also looks like I will be workin gin the Northern Transregional Maritime Section.

Well the Jeep will nto be here until 6 April and while we were out car shopping for Lisa I looked at a new 4dr and they start around 18,600 ($28,000) with the current exchange rate. They had a 2007 Sahara with 10,000 miles for 16,995 ($25,952). So I would possibly consider selling and then getting a new one from the overseas car sales. Or even a nice trade for a CRD.

We did sell it for $11,500 and got Lisa a Renault Scenic Magane with 42,000 miles on it. We figured that should last the next 3 years and it still gets 35mpg.
